Do you want to know how jade buyers are often willing to pay much more for modern artworks than for antiques? According to the Yangcheng Evening News, the price of pieces between 2 and 3-thousand years old ranges from about $8-thousand to $70-thousand US dollars today. By comparison those creating by modern day jade Carving masters usually have a starting price of at least $160-thousand dollars. Industry experts say the reason is become its often harder for consumers to determine the authenticity and value of older jade works. Furthermore Chinese law heavily restricts the trading of antiques on the market. As a result the price of antique jade pieces is usually about 20 percent higher overseas.

Hua Hao Yue Yuan
Hua Hao Yue Yuan – This is a carving based on an ancient Chinese story of the two Mandarin ducks that meet in the light of the full moon surrounded by peonies. It is given to newly wed couples to symbolize the everlasting (monogamous) love of the ducks and their secret meeting under the full moon. It is a theme common in Chinese music.

Chinese White Jade Round Flower Vase w Cover s299m
This decent jade vase or water is carved with Ru-Yi ears on two sides. On the body, there are arrow and circle flower patterns on both sides of the round body. The jade has solid white color with some white dots and a touch of green.

It is a good luck charm for those who seek advancement in government. jade Carving is a misnomer. It is actually drilled and polished by tools similar to a dentist drill. This means Chinese perfected the dentist drill way back in first centry. Jade is very a hard and tough stone. On a scale of 10 compared to diamond jade is between 6 and 7.
